One of my great joys at work is when my screen saver pops on! Why? Becuase I have a rotation going of beautiful Vera wallpapers!
Sometimes I have to do hand work on documents, not editing on the computer, this is nice because I can take my eyes off a screen and look and touch something tangible! Also, I have my screen saver to set to come on after 2 minutes of non activity. (This does not happen often.)
I have saved MANY Vera Bradley Desktop Wallpapers over the last few seasons and I had quite a stockpile on my computer
(you can get them here http://www.verabradley.com/content/content.jsp?pageName=desktopdownloads)
I made myself a folder and set the Screen Saver to "My Pictures Slideshow" and chose this folder. Now whenever my computer has two minutes of inactivity I get a COLORFUL eyeful! The pictures are changed rapidly (I think I have it set to a 6 second rotation) and whenever I look up from my paperwork I see a different VB pattern.
It's the little things.

This posted on the VeraBradleyExperience.com page states that yes, the Colorful Day that was announced in Orlando in the fall WILL NOT be happening like they said. It was scheduled for Fort Wayne, IN (and I was getting anxious to buy my tickets) but here is their statement. I am saddened by this news. I assume they will be focusing more on their big Outlet Sale than this great event.
I'm glad I got to at least attend one of them!

So I was walking around my local Wal-Mart and came across this blanket! It was the only one in the store and it did not have a price tag, I didn't care HOW much it was, it was coming home with me!
Then the next day I went to the nearest other city with a Wal-Mart (45 min drive) and I bought one for a friend whose favorite pattern is Baroque and two more spares for me.
It turns out, it was only $4.96. SUCH a deal I wonder if I ought to have one more, ha!!
Here you can see it with my Lisa B in Baroque and my kitty enjoying it on my bed!
Happy New Vera Year!

Imagine my surprise when about a month ago my mother asked me, "What do you think about doing a Vera Bradley themed Christmas tree this year?" To which I energetically replied, "YES, let's!!"
We started out with all sorts of good ideas for ornaments but between both of our very busy schedules, we only got one creative ornament done. (But we have archived ideas if we do it again.)
After purchasing 4 VB napkins, they were cut up and wrapped around traditional Christmas ball ornaments. I also hung some of my little pieces on the tree.
Here is what we ended up with... not bad for super busy people!
Wishing you a Very Vera Christmas (or whatever winter holiday you celebrate!)

Welcome Dogwood and English Rose to the Vera Bradley Family. You will have to get one of each because Dogwood will coordinate with all your blacks and English Rose with all your browns. I love the name English Rose of course because I am of British descent, but it also reminds me of the late, Diana Princess of Wales, or England's Rose as she is affectionately known.
Well done design team. Now let's decorate our desktops with these downloadable wallpapers!!
Love these colors!

Posted this morning officially on the Inside Stitch, it is confirmed that co-foudner, Pat Miller is retiring from the Vera Bradley, Inc. family.
Along with Barbara Bradley Baekgaard in 1982, they founded what would be one of the most beautiful companies of our time.
Thank you for your service and your vision, Pat. And thank you for starting out cutting fabric on that ping pong table 30 years ago!

When I was at the Colorful Day in Las Vegas earlier this year, Liz Money (Liz on Location) was telling us about this great wall they have at the Design Center in Indiana. They have a colorful wall with all teh patterns over the years and they can see how patterns and colors have evolved over the years with current trends. Here (thanks to Inside Stitch, the Official VB Blog) is a picture of that wall, taken during their Viva La Pink event that took place this past weekend as a Breast Cancer Awareness event.
What I wouldn't give to see this wall in person!!
